“How much are custom shirts?” is a reasonable first question. To give you an accurate quote, we need to know what you want to make. Two orders with the same number of shirts can involve different garments, artwork and decoration, so their totals may be different.
At HTG Customs, we help you compare the options and choose what fits your project and budget.
The shirt you choose
The garment is part of the price before any design is added. Brand, fabric, fit and style all affect the cost. A basic T-shirt, a performance shirt and a hoodie are different starting points.
Think about how the apparel will be used. Is it for one event, regular staff wear or a team? Tell us which features matter most. If you have a specific shirt in mind, include its name or style number.
Your quantity and size breakdown
For an accurate quote, provide the exact number of pieces, broken down by garment style, color and size. If some pieces use a different design, list those separately.
Screen setup is a fixed cost for each ink color, whether we print one shirt or 100 shirts with the same design. Spreading that cost across more shirts lowers the setup cost per shirt, which is why screen printing usually makes more financial sense for larger orders.
If you are considering different quantities, ask us to compare those options using the same design and garments.
The decoration method and artwork
HTG Customs offers DTF, embroidery and screen printing. Your artwork, garment and desired finish help determine which method makes sense.
Screen-printing costs depend partly on the number of ink colors and screens needed. DTF is often a practical choice for smaller orders or colorful artwork.
Embroidery pricing is based on stitch count. Larger designs often require more stitches, so a large embroidered design can cost more than a DTF print of a similar size.
Send your clearest original artwork and explain any changes you want. We’ll review the design and discuss any preparation needed for the order.
Design size and placement
A small chest logo and a large back graphic are different specifications. A front-and-back design also involves more decoration than a front-only print.
Include every location you want quoted, such as the chest, back or sleeve. If you’re working within a budget, we can compare options like a different garment or fewer print locations.
Your needed-by date
Tell us when you need the finished items in hand, including any time needed to distribute them before an event. Garment availability and production timing need to be checked before the order is finalized.
If your quantity, artwork or apparel changes after the quote, the price or timing may need to be updated too.
Compare the same order
When comparing quotes, check that they include the same garment, quantities, sizes, design dimensions and print locations. A lower price is only a useful comparison if it covers the same finished order.
